What is included

The key difference from a shop is that everything is calculated from the counterparty: the price, the available range, the payment terms.

Discuss the scope

Personal prices

The price type and discounts are pulled from the accounting system under the contract with each specific client.

Available range

Different clients see different products. A distributor and a retail outlet do not buy the same things.

Deferred payment and limits

Control over receivables: when the limit is exceeded the order goes for approval.

Fast ordering

Upload from a spreadsheet, repeat of the previous order, purchase templates. A wholesaler does not browse the catalogue.

Roles on the client side

A buyer creates the order, a manager approves it. Internal approval inside the interface.

Documents

Invoices, specifications, reconciliation statements, settlement history.

How the work runs

From ten weeks. Most of that time goes on agreeing the price and terms logic with the commercial department.

01

Reviewing commercial policy

How prices are formed, which client categories exist, where the discount limits sit.

02

Design

Roles, permissions, ordering and approval scenarios, the exchange scheme.

03

Development

The platform, integration with accounting, accounts and documents.

04

Rollout

We connect clients gradually, starting with loyal ones, and collect feedback.

The main mistake is building a beautiful catalogue for a wholesaler. They do not browse the storefront, they repeat a purchase. Uploading an order from a spreadsheet and a repeat last order button do more than any filters or recommendations.

Frequently asked questions

It will not replace them but it will free them up. Routine repeat orders move to self service, and the managers work on new clients and complex deals. A platform usually pays for itself precisely through that redistribution.

Keep the familiar channel and move them gently: show that the account displays their outstanding balance and their documents, and offer a small advantage in price or timescales. Forcing the switch usually ends in losing clients.

More complex than in retail, because it carries not only products and stock but contracts, price types, settlements and limits. The state of the accounting system is critical here: if contracts are kept carelessly, the platform will expose it.
