Process review
How a sale actually runs, where decisions are made and what slows it down.
The stages describe your actual sales process, not an ideal one from a textbook. Otherwise salespeople will move deals along for the sake of form.
How a sale actually runs, where decisions are made and what slows it down.
Stages with clear criteria for moving on, not "in progress" and "thinking about it".
Website forms, email, telephony and messengers all land in the system automatically.
Rules for assigning an owner so no lead sits with nobody.
Control over overdue tasks and deals with no movement.
Conversion by stage, average deal length and workload per salesperson.
Setup takes two to three weeks including training for the sales team.
Conversations with salespeople and the head of sales about the real process.
Stages, fields, permissions and automatic lead collection from the channels.
On real deals, before launch. Otherwise the system sits empty for the first week.
After a month we see what did not take root and simplify it.
The more required fields there are, the less data ends up in the system. A salesperson who has to fill in fifteen fields to save a deal starts typing dots and dashes. Three fields filled in honestly beat fifteen filled in for the sake of form.
Usually five to seven. Fewer and you cannot see where deals get stuck. More and salespeople stop telling them apart and move deals along mechanically. Every stage needs a clear criterion for moving on.
Look at what specifically gets in their way. The cause is usually redundant fields, duplicated work, or the system giving them nothing in return. An order from management helps little here; simplification helps a lot.
For most companies it is enough. A separate specialist system is justified for very long deals with a complex structure or in industries with specific requirements. It is best to start with what you already have.
Tell us about your sales process and how many salespeople you have. We will build the funnel around the real process and connect every lead channel.
