Diagnostics
Measurement under load: what exactly is the bottleneck.
We work from facts: we watch processor, memory and disk queue during real work rather than guessing.
Measurement under load: what exactly is the bottleneck.
Applications that start unnecessarily and sit in memory permanently.
Viruses, ransomware, miners and advertising modules in the browser.
Migrating the system to an SSD without reinstalling.
When the system runs short and constantly falls back on the page file.
Overheating causes throttling: the computer slows down with perfectly healthy hardware.
Diagnostics take about an hour. The work usually takes half a day and is done on site.
We observe the computer during the user normal work.
We name the cause and the cost of fixing it before starting.
Cleanup, disinfection and upgrades, as agreed.
We measure again and show the difference.
A crypto miner is the least noticeable of the common infections. It does not damage files or demand a ransom; it simply loads the processor in the background and shortens the life of the hardware. The user complains about slowness for months while the antivirus stays silent, because formally the program is not malicious.
Against viruses and clutter, yes. Against a slow drive and insufficient memory, no: a clean system on a mechanical drive is just as slow a month later. That is why we diagnose first rather than starting with a reinstall.
Noticeably; it is usually the single most tangible improvement available: boot time and application launches speed up several times over. For machines over five years old it is effectively a second life for modest money.
Indirect signs: constant load while idle, fan noise, adverts in the browser, unfamiliar tabs and extensions, outbound traffic at night. A definite answer comes from scanning with several tools rather than one antivirus.
Tell us how many machines there are and what is happening with them. We will start with diagnostics: sometimes buying new hardware is unnecessary.
