What is included

The main question is not which editor to choose but where the code is stored and how the product is built.

Discuss the scope

Development environments

Team licences with the right subscription type: to the company, not to personal email addresses.

Version control

Deployed inside your own perimeter or a cloud service connected with proper permissions.

Build and deployment

Automation, so code reaches the test environment without manual steps.

Artefact storage

Built versions and dependencies kept inside the company, not only in external repositories.

Registry alternatives

Selection from the Russian software registry where that is a mandatory requirement.

Permissions and access

Who sees what: a contractor should not get access to all the company code.

How the work runs

Supplying licences takes days. Deploying a development environment takes one to two weeks.

01

Audit

What is in use now, where the code sits and whose name the subscriptions are in.

02

Selection

Tools and licences matched to the size of the team and the requirements.

03

Deployment

Repositories, builds, access rights and backups of the code.

04

Handover

Documentation and training for the team on working in the new environment.

Code sitting in a developer personal account does not really belong to the company. When they leave, access goes with them along with the change history. Moving repositories to an organisation account is the first thing worth doing, and it is free.

Frequently asked questions

No. Cloud services are more convenient and more reliable than most self-hosted installations. Your own environment is needed when the code cannot leave the company for regulatory reasons, or when independence from foreign services matters.

Usually per developer, with an annual subscription. It matters that they are issued to the company: subscriptions tied to personal accounts leave with the person, and the money is lost.

Only if you have the corresponding requirements. For commercial development with no such obligations, most tools are open source and free, and licensing mainly concerns development environments.

We will set up your development environment

Tell us about the team and where the code is stored now. We will select the tools and sort out the licensing.
