For a very small office, sometimes yes. The difference is what happens between visits: if something breaks on Tuesday and the specialist comes on Friday, someone spends three days coping. A managed service handles urgent issues remotely the same day and does the scheduled work to a plan.

For an office of up to fifteen people without heavy databases, usually not: email, files and collaboration are cheaper and more reliable in the cloud. A server becomes justified when 1C with several users appears, or when there are requirements to keep data inside your own perimeter.

The fee is fixed, so in a quiet month you are effectively paying for availability. But that is exactly what buys the response in a month with an incident. If there is consistently almost no work, we will honestly suggest the project format: paying only for work done.

The Basic plan starts from six months. The first month goes into taking over the infrastructure and tidying it up, and a shorter term is unprofitable for both sides.
